Vastu Shastra

Vastu Shastra has its own origin in Vedas & Puranas. Vastu is all about Interaction of different forms of energy received from all 5 elements (Earth, Fire, Wind, Sky & Water). All forms of energy have an effect on us and it may be Positive or Negative. The word “Vas” means “dwelling”. Vastu Shastra is a very ancient art that deals with the design and architecture of a place. Nature has some laws and everybody has to abide by them. Nobody can refute or challenge nature. Vastu Shastra attaches the person with nature so that he gets maximum advantage from it, proper interaction with all 5 elements creates a perfectly balanced environment that ensures good health, wealth and prosperity.



Vastu deals with site selection, orientation of room, configuration of plans, material for construction, dimension, etc. Vastu balances different forms of negative radiation from the universal bodies so that it has positive effects on the residence of the house. Vastu Shastra in India particularly deals with various aspects of designing and building living environments that are in concord with the physical and metaphysical forces/ energies of the cosmos such as the gravitational, electromagnetic and supernatural. Building practices based on limited interpretations of these principles are still sustained in specific areas of India. Initially Vastu Shastra was only restricted to India but now it has spread its web all over the world. Literally, Vastu Shastra means mathematical and diagrammatic basis for generating design and building. Primarily Vastu Shastra prescribes a desirable characteristic for sites and buildings based on the flow of energy.
